FEATI UNIVERSITY SALUTES ISAA 2ND SEASON

A stronger and grander second season was experienced by everyone who participated in the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA), with host FEATI University pulling out all the stops to ensure a successful run from beginning to end. This year's ISAA event ended on March 22, 2011 with a memorable closing ceremony at the gymnasium of the Manila Tytana Colleges (formerly Manila Doctors College). The closing ceremony capped a colorful and competitive season that opened last July 23, 2010 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium with special guest and keynote speaker, Alvin Patrimonio (Four-time PBA MVP).

ISAA-member schools rallied to bring pride to their respective schools by giving their best in basketball and volleyball, two major sporting events that provided the main attractions for competition in the entire season. Competitions in swimming, badminton, and tennis were held to sustain the excitement and provide the variety for this significant sporting event.

Aside from host FEATI University, schools that saw action were La Consolacion College Manila; Lyceum of the Philippines University; Manila Adventist Medical Center & Colleges; Manila Tytana College; Philippine Women's University; and, Southville International School & Colleges.

At the closing ceremony the top four schools that emerged victors in basketball and volleyball as well as the winners of the other sports competitions were congratulated, awarded, and celebrated. Top four teams of the second ISAA season were the Seahawks from FEATI University (4th place); the Patriots from the Philippine Women's University (3rd place); the Blue Royals from La Consolacion College Manila (2nd place); and, the Pirates from Lyceum University of the Philippines (1st place).

A special cheerdancing cum cheerleading exhibition was presented by the pep squads of Philippine Women's University, La Consolacion College Manila, and Lyceum of the Philippines University during the closing ceremonies.

Lending one hundred percent support for the ISAA were sponsors Topcoms Marketing, Globe Tattoo, Malaya Business Insight, and Summit Water.
ISAA is a young league but ISAA President Jose Yayen and ISAA Vice President Melanie Florentino believe in the potential of ISAA to equal the popularity of the premiere collegiate leagues in due time.
More schools are expected to join the third season of the ISAA thus providing more thrills, chills, and cheers to the young and budding league.

FEATI University salutes the ISAA board members and officers, the ISAA member-schools, the various sponsors, and all of the supporters whose contribution made this season of "Building Future Legends. Conquering New Heights." successful. (AMD)
