A Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduate at FEATI University in 1970, Arturo Supangan is presently the Chairman and President of ALS Marine Center Corporation, established in 1974. ALS Marine Center is in the business of building fiberglass boats; an importer and distributor of Yamaha outboard motors, jetskis, multi-purpose gasoline engines, generators and water pumps as well as various classes of recreational, water sports and aquatic rescue equipment. In 2008, ALS Marine Center Limited in Hong Kong was established.

Mr. Supangan has also been affiliated with various organizations related to his trade such as the Boating Industries Association of the Philippines, to which he is a Past President and an active member; the Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics Association of the Philippines; the Manila Bay Yacht Club; the Subic Bay Yatch Club and others. He has also been active in civic clubs being a Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Navotas; Charter President of the Kiwanis Club of Malabon Achievers; the Knights of Columbus (Council No. 3951) and Past President of the Pangasinan Provincial High School Alumni Association. He has also rendered military service as a Captain of the Philippine Coast Guard 101st Auxiliary Squadron.

Married to Laura D. Teopengco with four children who are impressive achievers themselves, they are: Eugene, Naval Architect and Marine Engineer at NAMEI Institute of Technology; Arturo II, Mechanical Engineer at Mapua Institute of Technology; Jocelyn, Accountant at De La Salle University and Cristina, Legal Management at Ateneo De Manila University.
